Country by country, William H. Murphy, Jr. is making a mark throughout the world as a leader of intercessory prayer.The pastor of New Mount Moriah International Church of Pontiac, Michigan diligently pursues his God-given mandate of “Reclaiming the Church, the House of Prayer”. In fact, this has been the corporate focus at New Mount Moriah International for many years. Through Intercessory prayer sessions; local, regional, and national prayer workshops and conferences; he intensely strives toward the mark of this God-given assignment.The magnitude of this call is evidenced by the impression that has been made on an,, international audience of many through his interactive prayer recordings: “The Daily Bread”, “Could You Not Pray With Me One Hour?”and “War Cry”. Many more have also been touched through his books “How to Flow in a Powerful Prayer Meeting”, “Walking in a Victorious Prayer Life”, Five Traits of An Effective Intercessor”, and “100 Declarations That Will Change Your Destiny”.He completed his seminary studies at Tennessee School of Religion and the Evangelical Training Association. Bishop Murphy became pastor of New Mount Moriah International Church of Pontiac in 1990 and currently shepherd’s more than 1,000 active members in the city of Pontiac. He serves as a member of the Executive Council and Bishop of Intercessory Prayer of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International under the auspices of Bishop Paul S. Morton, Sr., which has led to his travels throughout the United States and abroad to develop and train corporate prayer teams.
Serving alongside Bishop Murphy is his lovely wife, Elder Donna Murphy; their children, Pastor William H. Murphy, III, Pastor DeJaughn, DeVaughn, Brittany, and Jasmine.
Together, this great dynasty endeavors in ministry to be the word based, word taught, bible believing church with a life style ministry that God has destined His people to be.
